Expectation

 Psalm 62:5

My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him
My friend Philip Sharp recently encouraged his church to come not just because they needed to be healed but to come expecting to be healed.
When we have expectation for something we believe, have faith, that we are going to get it. If you work a job you have an expectation that you are going to get paid come pay day.
In Psalm 62:5 it says our expectation comes from God. Why, because He has given us promises, His character and His love for us. Healing, for example, is a promise, part of His character and is a part of His love for us. We should come to the Lord with an expectation always for healing. We should also have expectation and faith for all His promises for us.
If there is a problem of lacking expectation it is because we lack the knowledge of His promises, character and love.
Read His Word. It will show you all 3 in detail and build your expectation and faith for all there is for you and share it all with everyone you meet. That way expectation and faith can grow in them. First for salvation and then the rest.

1st Report from 2nd Ireland Trip

Report From second Ireland trip.     Arrived in Ireland on time and very blessed.  The Lord provided me access to an airport lounge for my layover in Washington DC and for a row by myself to stretch out on the plane flight over.  Superfast pick up of the rental car and off I went to Castledaly.    Castledaly is a wonderful retreat/summer camp facility.  There was actually another retreat going on the same time as Outreach Ireland’s retreat.  The European Christian Mission and I the great privilege of meeting and speaking with Jonathan McCracken who is a church planter currently planting a church in Claremorris, Ireland.  Being that church planting is a passion of mine and part of my calling/mission this was indeed a divine appointment.  I was able to exchange contact information and am hoping to build relationship with him. Outreach Ireland’s retreat was a Holy Spirit filled time of connection, relati...

Been With Jesus

Acts 4:13   Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.   I saw a clip from an interview with R.T. Kendall where he was asked this question, “After 70 years in ministry what would be your advice to a young R.T. Kendall?”  His answer was that though he himself has many degrees he would not recommend to young ministers to go to seminary.  He mentioned Acts 4:13. His recommendation was to do 2 things.  Pray a lot and know your Bible. He said that God wants us to know 2 things, His Word and His ways. He pointed out that how we know His ways or anyone’s ways is to spend time with them. This is not the first time that Acts 4:13 has jumped out to me. This time I ask myself the question do unbelievers know that I have been with Jesus?  The they that realized in Acts 4:13 wasn’t the church but unbelievers....
