The Body of Christ

 1 Cor 12:27

Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
Eph4:15-16
but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
If you accepted Christ and have the Spirit living in you, you are part of the Body of Christ, the Church. You have an obligation to the head, Christ, and the rest of the body to do your part in the growth of the body. Growth physically, winning people to Christ, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
To really understand how a member of the body should act it would be smart to simply look at how Jesus acted during His earthly life. His compassion, righteousness, boldness, holiness, and power should all be displayed in and through us.
We are His body and therefore should be acting like it.
Romans 8:9-11 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
