Trust the One Who Actually Knows the Future

Prov 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.
Let’s be honest, none of us really knows what is going to happen in the future. We have a rough idea at times but really do you know exactly everything that is going to happen even in the next minute?
God does. So why do we go through life winging it? Why would we go a second trusting ourselves and our limited understanding?
No matter how it looks to us God as a loving Father desires to put us in the best and safest place. He is also there telling us everything that we need to do. Problems come when we don’t listen or don’t do what He says when and how He says it. Like being lost in the forest and instead of listening to an experienced guide you decide to find your own way even though you nothing about the forest.
When we lean on the limited knowledge we have instead of the limitless knowledge He has we get ourselves into trouble. These verses are not about us mindlessly being controlled by God. They are the keys to success.

1st Report from 2nd Ireland Trip

Report From second Ireland trip.     Arrived in Ireland on time and very blessed.  The Lord provided me access to an airport lounge for my layover in Washington DC and for a row by myself to stretch out on the plane flight over.  Superfast pick up of the rental car and off I went to Castledaly.    Castledaly is a wonderful retreat/summer camp facility.  There was actually another retreat going on the same time as Outreach Ireland’s retreat.  The European Christian Mission and I the great privilege of meeting and speaking with Jonathan McCracken who is a church planter currently planting a church in Claremorris, Ireland.  Being that church planting is a passion of mine and part of my calling/mission this was indeed a divine appointment.  I was able to exchange contact information and am hoping to build relationship with him. Outreach Ireland’s retreat was a Holy Spirit filled time of connection, relati...

Been With Jesus

Acts 4:13   Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.   I saw a clip from an interview with R.T. Kendall where he was asked this question, “After 70 years in ministry what would be your advice to a young R.T. Kendall?”  His answer was that though he himself has many degrees he would not recommend to young ministers to go to seminary.  He mentioned Acts 4:13. His recommendation was to do 2 things.  Pray a lot and know your Bible. He said that God wants us to know 2 things, His Word and His ways. He pointed out that how we know His ways or anyone’s ways is to spend time with them. This is not the first time that Acts 4:13 has jumped out to me. This time I ask myself the question do unbelievers know that I have been with Jesus?  The they that realized in Acts 4:13 wasn’t the church but unbelievers....
