How to get everything you pray for.

How to get everything you pray for.

1 John 5:14
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
We can have confidence that He hears us when we ask anything that is according to His will. Sadly too many Christians believe that the will of God is difficult to know or find as if He has hidden it from us and only a few special few ever obtain such knowledge. The truth is that God’s will has been given to all who will receive it. Anyone can find and know it. He put it clearly in His Word. So if we will read the Word of God and meditate on it day and night we would see exactly every time what God’s will is.
BUT WAIT! There’s more.
1 John 5:15
And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
See this? Knowing that He hears us then we know we have what we ask. Knowing His will and praying in agreement with that will leads us to receiving that will into our lives. So in praying this way we will get everything and anything that we pray for.
The key here is to FIRST know what God’s will is because this is where our confidence is built. Know God’s will and then pray according to His will WITH confidence that He hears you and because He hears you then you will have what you pray. Regardless of the situation, the impossibility of your ask OR how long it takes we can and should have confidence that we are receiving. Really our confidence should be such that it is a done deal. Time, circumstances or other people’s opinion doesn’t matter because we know, according to these verses that it is ours.
Mark 11:23-24 and James 1:6-7. Are companion verses.

1st Report from 2nd Ireland Trip

Report From second Ireland trip.     Arrived in Ireland on time and very blessed.  The Lord provided me access to an airport lounge for my layover in Washington DC and for a row by myself to stretch out on the plane flight over.  Superfast pick up of the rental car and off I went to Castledaly.    Castledaly is a wonderful retreat/summer camp facility.  There was actually another retreat going on the same time as Outreach Ireland’s retreat.  The European Christian Mission and I the great privilege of meeting and speaking with Jonathan McCracken who is a church planter currently planting a church in Claremorris, Ireland.  Being that church planting is a passion of mine and part of my calling/mission this was indeed a divine appointment.  I was able to exchange contact information and am hoping to build relationship with him. Outreach Ireland’s retreat was a Holy Spirit filled time of connection, relati...

Been With Jesus

Acts 4:13   Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.   I saw a clip from an interview with R.T. Kendall where he was asked this question, “After 70 years in ministry what would be your advice to a young R.T. Kendall?”  His answer was that though he himself has many degrees he would not recommend to young ministers to go to seminary.  He mentioned Acts 4:13. His recommendation was to do 2 things.  Pray a lot and know your Bible. He said that God wants us to know 2 things, His Word and His ways. He pointed out that how we know His ways or anyone’s ways is to spend time with them. This is not the first time that Acts 4:13 has jumped out to me. This time I ask myself the question do unbelievers know that I have been with Jesus?  The they that realized in Acts 4:13 wasn’t the church but unbelievers....
