Loving the Lost

 Romans 10:9-15

If you are a Born-Again believer in Christ Romans 10:9-13 isn’t for YOU anymore.

“ that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”’

It is for those who have not yet believed.

Born-Again believer in Christ Romans 10:14-15,17 IS FOR YOU!

14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Church, the body of Christ here on earth there is a lost and dying world out there.

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. Every day in this world we inhabit 166,859 people die every day and have their fate sealed for all eternity. That is 6,952 people an hour, 116 per minute and 1.93 per second.

Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-20, Luke 24:46-49, John 20:21, Acts 1:8 plainly tells us we have been sent, in fact commissioned to go into all the world and be witnesses for Jesus, make disciples, preach the gospel so we, every believer in Jesus as savior and Lord, have the message to plant into people that will produce the faith to save their souls.

It is God who does the saving but He only saves those through faith repent, confess and receive that gift of salvation by faith.  That faith only comes to the unbeliever through the mouths of those who have already received that wonder grace through faith themselves.  EVERY SINGLE believer in Christ has this responsibility. It is a responsibility of LOVE.

Would you let someone blindly walk into a burning building? If a child who could not swim fell into a pool and was drowning would you just turn away and ignore them?  If you saw someone do this would you not think that they were cruel and totally void of any love or compassion?

What can we think, then of ourselves, if we do nothing to reach those around us?

John 15:12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

Think about it.  How did Jesus love you?  How are you to love others around you?

1st Report from 2nd Ireland Trip

Report From second Ireland trip.     Arrived in Ireland on time and very blessed.  The Lord provided me access to an airport lounge for my layover in Washington DC and for a row by myself to stretch out on the plane flight over.  Superfast pick up of the rental car and off I went to Castledaly.    Castledaly is a wonderful retreat/summer camp facility.  There was actually another retreat going on the same time as Outreach Ireland’s retreat.  The European Christian Mission and I the great privilege of meeting and speaking with Jonathan McCracken who is a church planter currently planting a church in Claremorris, Ireland.  Being that church planting is a passion of mine and part of my calling/mission this was indeed a divine appointment.  I was able to exchange contact information and am hoping to build relationship with him. Outreach Ireland’s retreat was a Holy Spirit filled time of connection, relati...

Do we have big enough expectations?

Do we have big enough expectations?   How do you define hope?  Do you define it as most of the world has come to define it which is basically wishing?  Actually, hope is to have an expectation for something or that something will happen and this is especially true in a Biblical context.  Take a look at the following verses and every time you read hope say expectation.     Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.    Romans 15:12-13 And again, Isaiah says: “There shall be a root of Jesse; And He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, In Him the Gentiles shall hope.”  13  Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.   Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evi...
